Stories connect generations and communities

Stories remind us who we are and what we’ve lived through. Whether it’s a grandparent sharing memories with loved ones or a room full of community members reflecting together.

At Learn by Legacy Story Studio, we create intentional spaces for storytelling. Places where laughter, wisdom, and voice are preserved so they can be heard for years to come.

Two pathways to preserving stories that matter.

  • For Senior Communities

Story Circles and recording programs that foster connection and belonging among residents, while preserving their voices for loved ones and future generations.

  • For Individual Families

Guided recording sessions designed for loved ones who want to preserve personal stories in a comfortable, conversational, and meaningful way.

Why families and communities choose Learn by Legacy.

We believe storytelling should feel natural, respectful, and human.

Every conversation we facilitate begins with presence and ends with something that lasts.

Gentle Guidance

Every conversation is led with warmth and curiosity, never pressure.

Personal Touch

Each project begins with a genuine conversation, not a script.

Meaningful Keepsakes

Recordings and transcripts crafted to be cherished.

Start a Conversation

Learn by Legacy started with a single wish — to remember a loved one’s voice.

My father passed when I was 15. I remember that he loved salsa music, singing and dancing and playing his congas. I remember he loved to wear those adidas track suits, too. But…

I can’t remember the sound of his voice or how he laughed.

I never asked him about his favorite childhood memory, how he knew my mom was “the one”, or what advice he’d share with his grandchildren.

My mom passed in 2021 and I have a handful of short videos on my phone. Most were from birthdays, where we sang to her while she smiled for the camera.

These were moments that were meant to be captured, but not ones that truly revealed her. None of them hold the sound of her voice or the candid way she offered advice.

I regret never getting to know her as an adult. I missed my chance to know her beyond the stories she chose to share.

Every recording, whether a private family conversation or a group story circle, is a chance to capture connection, laughter, and wisdom that might otherwise be lost.

How it began.
